Bajaj Qute : Rickshaw of the Future?

The Bajaj Qute - it's not a rickshaw and it's definitely not a car; although it may look like one. But it's a quadricycle.Although it has 4 wheels it is not listed as a car.It a cute little machine manufactured by Bajaj.

Currently qute can only be registered as a commercial vehicle but bajaj is pushing to widen it for private use too.Bajaj insists that it is not the alternative for the car but it is here to replace the three wheeled auto rikshaw.

Qute is a motorized quadricycle  defined by weight power and speed. It weights  450 kgs which is 37% lighter then the smallest car in the market.Qute sits on a water-cooled Digital Tri-Spark ignition 4-valve engine and a closed loop fuel injection system. This helps it in delivering high performance in power and control. With a really small turning circle radius of 3.5m, Qute is equipped to take the twists and turns of urban roads with ease. The vehicle has a dash mounted shift lever, which offers very low resistance and is also conveniently located. Being light in weight also makes it an energy efficient vehicle.
